We also offer used bikes and in 2014 will be introducing bicycle hire, a service to supply bikes on the cycle to work scheme, finance on electric bikes and vintage bikes for props and special events.
Riley's is a traditional bike shop and there has been a bicycle business here under the previous owner serving cyclists for 45 years. It has an interesting character being set in a pleasant yard and historic buildings. The workshop has extensive tools for servicing and repairing vintage and modern bikes. There is a cafe adjacent and bikes can be parked safely while visiting the Town.
Mike Riley is the current custodian of this local institution; as well as being a Velotech qualified cycle mechanic, Mike is also a time served engineer with a Dockyard apprenticeship, qualifications in electrical engineering and quality control, health, safety and environment systems.
Mike started riding as a young lad and had to learn to maintain his own bikes as it was his passport to freedom, from necessity grew a joy of cycling and bikes which he wants to share with his customers.
